Level Up Lab
Privacy Policy
Level Up Lab is a trade name of Aleit Digital LLC ("we"), a Washington limited liability company, 39825 SE Spruce St, Snoqualmie, WA 98065. Contact: admin@aleitdigital.com.
Level Up Lab is a homework and practice app for children, set up and managed by a parent or guardian. We follow the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
What we collect
- From the parent: email address and sign-in details, and the parent's consent record (date and version).
- About each child (entered by the parent): first name and grade.
- Schoolwork: answers, scores, practice and game results, reading-speed results, and photos of homework pages that the family uploads for grading, and photos, files or typed notes a parent uploads so the app can make a lesson, practice problems or flashcards (only the text the app makes is kept, never the photo or file).
- Feedback messages you choose to send us, and basic device information (browser type) to fix problems.
- Free-trial check: to allow one free trial per family we keep a random code for the device, a scrambled (one-way hashed) form of the parent's email, and the card fingerprint Stripe gives us if a parent subscribes. None of these identify a child.
We do not ask children for last names, addresses, phone numbers, photos of themselves, or location. There is no chat between users, no ads and no ad tracking.
How we use it
Only to run the app: make daily homework, grade homework photos and turn a parent's uploads into lessons, practice and flashcards, and answer questions in the in-app helper (behind a grown-up check) (using an AI service that processes this for us and is not allowed to use it to train its models), show progress and feedback, keep the app working, and answer your messages. We never sell personal information.
Who we share it with
Service providers that run the app for us under contract: Google Firebase (accounts, database, photo storage), Anthropic (Claude) (grading, lessons, flashcards and the helper), and Stripe and Google Play (billing). They may only use the data to provide their service to us. Referral partners (promoters): if you subscribe on our website with a promoter's code or link, that promoter can see your first name and last initial (or your center's business name), your plan, whether it's active, and when you signed up, so we can pay them fairly. They never see your email, payment details, or anything about your children. We may disclose information if required by law.
How long we keep it
Homework photos are deleted 60 days after grading (you can download them first). Grades, feedback and progress are kept while the account is open. When you delete the family account, we delete the family's data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep billing records.
Parent rights
A parent can review, change or delete a child's information, or withdraw consent, at any time in Grown-ups → Your data (Delete family data), or by emailing admin@aleitdigital.com. Withdrawing consent deletes the child's data.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Each family's data is separated and can only be read by that family's signed-in account.
Changes
If we make important changes, we'll tell parents in the app or by email before they take effect.
